Capital Campaign
On August 14, 2011 members of Spring Run Presbyterian Church voted unanimously to begin the purchase of Woodlake United Methodist Church at the front of Woodlake. In October 2011 the BOLDLY Capital Campaign was launched. The goal of the campaign is secure commitments totaling $750,000 over and above general giving.
Dear Spring Run Church Family,
Spring Run Presbyterian Church is almost 6 years old and God has richly blessed us in a short time. We have prayed hard and worked hard at our mission to be an authentic worshiping community proclaiming and embodying the gospel of Jesus Christ. God has blessed us growing our church to over 300 people. I can hear the voices of changed lives: “I prayed for a friend and God brought me someone from Spring Run—now I have lots of friends.” Another said, “I would not have become a Christian if it were not for Spring Run.” I remember people in difficult times saying, “I don’t know how we would have made it through without the help of the people of this church.”
We now have an opportunity to act BOLDLY by purchasing the church building at the front of Woodlake which is currently owned by Woodlake United Methodist Church. This website provides you with important information about this opportunity. The challenge before you is to prayerfully consider what God wants to do in you and through you to accomplish his plans for our church. In order to meet our campaign goal of $750,000 it will require each of us to give boldly over the next three years. We will have to give generously (over and above our giving to the general fund) and sacrificially (we cannot all make equal gifts but we can make equal sacrifice). As October 30th approaches when we will all have opportunity to make our personal commitments, Michelle and I are praying about how God will cultivate greater generosity in us. We are considering what we will do without in order to boldly give to this campaign.
Having the opportunity to purchase a building does not mean we want to settle down and prop up our feet as if the work is done. Our mission remains in full force because it is what God has called us to do. I expect God to work BOLDLY moving us forward in growing followers. I honestly believe God will bless the ministry of this church because it will bring honor to the name of Jesus. So, I dream and pray boldly asking God to pour out his spiritual blessings on us. As I wrote in a blog in February, “I dream of being bold and taking risks to play our part in the cosmic gospel story that God is working out in the world—that what we strive for would fail unless God worked powerfully in us. I want our lives, our families, and our church to count. I want to see the fingerprints of God all over my life and all over our church. I pray the dream continues to shape into reality—into a beautiful story in which we are characters—and I pray that you want to share the dream too.” You can read the whole blog post which is inserted in this packet.
All for Jesus,

Andrew Conrad
